Merry Christmas........

Hello lovelies.....

Well I am finally sat with a glass of wine in hand after all the festive preparations!

I wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a fabulous New Year.

I hope you all have a lovely time whatever you may be doing and with whoever you may be spending the time with. I want to spare a thought for those who are on their own on Christmas Day, Merry Christmas to you all.

Also another thought, at this time of year is to remember the one's we held dear in our hearts who are no longer in this world with us. So, tonight, when Santa's bells are ringing and all the star's are shining bright and Rudolph leads the way one of those star's will be my beautiful Daddy shining brightly and I will look up and be wishing him a Merry Christmas too. I am sure there are many who we love up there watching over us on Christmas Day, I for one will be raising a glass on Christmas Day to my Dear Daddy.

I want to thank each and everyone of you for following my crafty journey. I absolutely love sharing my crafty makes with you all, and will continue to bring you my crafty makes and ideas in 2013.

So, that's it from me for now. I'm signing off to spend some quality time with my husband and family, who I am very blessed to have.

Merry Christmas to you all
lots of love

Dreamees Design Team Projects.....

Hello lovelies,

I have made some DREAMEES  design team projects today which I have called a  'Sweet Variety' of projects!
As Christmas is coming I knew I wouldn't have any time over the festive season to do any crafting so today I have made five projects for you all to see.
My first project to show you is using the SWEET SHOP STAMP I just knew what I wanted to make using this it was just perfect......

I had a packet of flying saucers so I thought I would use the stamp to decorate the bag with. I have coloured using Letraset Flexmarkers in shades of: Muted Pink ~ Tea Rose ~ Dusky Pink ~ Blush ~ Pale Pink ~ Pale Citrus ~ Meadow Green ~ Sunflower ~ Soft Aqua ~ Watermelon ~ Honeydew ~ Amaranth Red. I have used a heart border punch and embellished with Card Candi.
The next project I have used the MOSTLY MENS CD to make a birthday card for a wine lover. I am going to give this card to my brother-in-law for his birthday and he loves red wine so this is very fitting!

The next three projects I have made Christmas Cards using the CHRISTMAS MEMORIES CD I have made two general Christmas cards using more or less the same elements apart from the ribbons are different. I have also made my husband's Christmas Card. I had some ribbons that I wanted to use from my own stash so I matched the colour scheme to the ribbons. I have also used some buttons on the easel card too that I had in my crafty stash!

For the easel card I have used the Christmas tree topper and the text I have printed from my computer. I also added a PAPER DOILY WITH HEARTS and decorated it with Stickles glitter glue. I wanted to use the gingerbread and snowmen buttons that I had as they match the ribbons, papers and topper perfectly!

I hope you have enjoyed looking at my crafty projects today. Don't forget to click on the links to see where you can buy the gorgeous DREAMEES   products.
I hope you all have a lovely Christmas and a Very Happy New Year, don't forget to follow the Dreamees team in 2013 as there are lots of exciting times ahead!
Merry Christmas everyone,

DoCrafts Creativity Club Downloads...

Hello lovelies,

I hope you are all keeping well and not getting too frazzled with the Christmas preparations. I am really busy at work, being in a salon everyone wants their hair doing for Christmas. It is the classic case of lots to do but not enough time to do everything!LOL

With that in mind, I have made three projects using the fabulous DoCrafts Creativity Club Downloads. I am cheating a little though, as I am putting them all here in one post! Time is of the essence! LOL

The downloads and sketches I have used are available free to Creativity Club members. The fabulous benefits of being a member to this exclusive club is you get discount in the on-line store, Creativity TV where you can watch projects being made, lots of project inspiration, design team projects with step by step instructions and also special club offers to watch out for too and much much more!

If you would like to join the fantastic DoCrafts Creativity Club just click HERE to see where you can join.

So, here are the projects I have made...

Card 1...

For this card I have used the Florals downloads series 2 and I've chosen an 8"x8" Stepper Card blank. The papers are so pretty I wanted to show them off as much as I could.

Card 2 ...

For this card I have used a square Kraft card blank and decorated it with The 80's Printables part 3 downloads and also used Daily Sketch 162 designed by Emma Collins...

Card 3...

Finally for my third project I have used Daily Sketch 59 designed by Katy Godbeer and teamed it with some of the Boofle Christmas Elements...

Using sketches is a great way to pre-plan your crafty makes and is also good if you need some inspiration too. Don't forget that the daily sketches and downloads are just one of the perks of being a member of the DoCrafts Creativity Club.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my December Projects for the DoCrafts Creativity Club, thank you for stopping by and I look forward to your next visit.

Graphic 45 - A Place In Time Easel Calendar...

Hello lovelies,

I hope you are all keeping well and not getting too worn down with all the Christmas preparations!

I have just finished decorating a calendar that I make as a Christmas Gift for my husband every year. I have been doing these for quite a lot of years now and I try to pick a different theme each year. This year I wanted to go with a vintage theme. We have been together nearly 21 years now and I wanted to show how much this means to me through the pictures I have used. I have chosen photos of just us two, apart from one month where I have chosen a photo of the lovely doggy we used to have. May was very much a part of us, we loved her to bits and we called her May as we got married in May!

May was a gorgeous, friendly labrador and we miss her very much, it didnt feel right not to include her. Anyhoo, the photos I have changed to Sepia and I have used a Graphic 45 Easel Calendar and the Place In Time Collection, which was just perfect for this.

I absolutely adore my husband, he is the love of my life. I think you can see from the photo's how much we love each other...I am truly blessed and also very thankful too! If my hubby reads this he will tell me to stop being so soppy lol.

So, without further ado here is the end result...I hope you all like it.........

The front cover...

I absolutely love the Graphic 45 Collections, simply stunning.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my hubbies Christmas present lol I told him not to look if he saw the link in his timeline!

I will draw a winner on Sunday 9th December at 6pm. So you have one week to enter!

I have also made my first design team project for Dreamees, so I could show you just an idea of what you can make! The great thing about the stamps and cds is you can make cards, altered art projects, anything you set your mind to.

For my project I have altered a photo frame and made it into a Christmas picture...

To make my Altered Photo Frame I have used ....
~ 6x4 photo frame
~ BRANCH STAMP click the links to be taken to Dreamees to see the stamps
~ Ranger Alcohol Inks - Butterscotch ~ Caramel ~ Red Pepper ~ Gold Mixative
~ Blending tool and felt
~Memento Ink Pad Tuxedo Black
~ Letraset Promarkers - Crimson ~ Cardinal Red ~ Poppy ~ Berry red ~ Pear Green ~ Olive Green
~ Pigment Ink Pad Clear
~ Pearl Ex Pigment Powder Sunset Gold
~ Crafter's Companion Spray & Sparkle Gold
~ Pinflair Glue
~ Stickles Gold

To make....

~ Remove the back from the frame and glass. Lay the frame on your craft sheet. Add drops of each alcohol ink to the felt on the blending tool. Work in sweeping motions to add colour to the frame. Add your colour to your taste as you go along, this is a very random technique. I built my colour up gradually by letting it dry, then adding more.
~ Colour the chipboard backing, you would normally add a photo to this, but I have used it to create the picture.
~ Using the clear pigment ink pad stamp the branch in the centre.
~ Using a brush, dust the pearl ex powder over the image and gently sweep over this with a larger brush.
~ Sit the ink pad over the image and spray the gold spray around this to create a sparkly border. Add dots of gold stickles.
~ Stamp the Poinsettia 20 times, colour in. Cut out. Spray them all with gold spray and attach to the frame as shown using Pinflair.
~ To finish add the Stickles Gold to the centres of the Poinsettia.

I hope you like my first project for Dreamees. I think this makes a lovely Christmas Decoration with a difference.

I am looking forward to a very exciting 2013 working with Dreamees, so keep following my crafty journey and my crafty makes!

Thank you all so much for your love and support and taking the time to read and follow my journey.

Lots of love

Kanban Bella Italiano Cards.......

Hello lovelies,

I just thought I would share three cards that I made yesterday. I have been so busy over the last couple of days I have only just got round to sharing them on my blog.

I absolutely love Kanban products, you can do so much with the kits. If you want a quick, simple card you have everything at your fingertips. If you want to get all inky and messy then you can, Kanban products are so versatile all you need is your imagination!LOL

So, here's my first card using the Bella Italiano Kit ...

I have made a gatefold card and here is the front...

The acetate door I have cut into half so this will create the opening of the gatefold. Here is the inside of the gatefold ...

Next I have made an easel card. I created the card using my scalloped Grand Nestabilities. I used a smaller scallop to die-cut the mosaic acetate...

I have added gems to all the flower centre's.

The last card for today is a commissioned card I was asked to make. It is a 20th Wedding Anniversary card for my client's wife and she like's pink ...

I love easel cards. The Bella Italiano kit is so beautiful. I hope you have enjoyed looking at my makes today!

Thanks for stopping by today I really appreciate your visit and I hope you will stop by next week as I have an exciting announcement to make!

All will be revealed soon and there may even be something on offer!!!

PRODUCT REVIEW - DREAMEES....

Hello lovelies and welcome to my product review.

Before I go on, you may ask yourself why I do these product review's? Maybe your thinking perhaps I have an association with the companies, why do I do it?

Here's why......I am a passionate crafter...who loves all things craft! Over the years of crafting I have bought lots of craft goodies, from die-cutting machines to stamps, cds, pens and the list goes on and on. On occassions I have been very undecided when buying things and sometimes wished I could be helped to decide....do I really need it? Do I really want it?
So, that's where my review comes in!
I am a crafter, using things daily like all other crafter's so I speak as I find the product's, honestly and  how I've used them and do I think they are good value.

I just like to share, what I use, why I use it and would I recommend you to buy it!

So, here goes.....my review this time is a fabulous company called

Designer's of original artwork CD's, stamps & accessories.

Dreamees officially became a manufacturer of polymer plates/stamps on 1st January 2012.
Hayley does original artwork and took pencil to paper and drew all the topper images. Hayley produces stamps, cd's, accessories herself as she is an independant artist.

I bought my stamps at the NEC when Dreamees had a stand their a few weeks ago. I have met Carol and Hayley a couple of times now. What I love about the Mother and Daughter team is how friendly they both are, how they love what they do, their enthusiasm is like a feel good tonic! Very hard worker's, who enjoy bringing you fantastic designs.

The products are excellent quality, they are so versatile to make any project you wish to wether it be cardmaking, scrapbook or altered art. You have so much choice with designs wether its stamps or the cd's. An important point too is that all the products are such good value, without skimping on quality. I can vouch for how fabulous they are as I have been using them all day and the stamps have given me excellent, crisp images. The quality of the paper designs when printed out are fantastic.

You can also make as many cards as you like. On the website Hayley says...
"You are free to use them a million times if you wish and we don't mind!"
Which is brilliant if you make large quantities of cards as there are no limits to how many you can make using Dreamees Products.

The CD's are in jpg format, meaning you can use them with any graphics program.

There is a great selection of good quality, great value STAMPS on the website!

I have just made three projects using the stamps I bought. I absolutely love the stamps!

I used these...

To make this ...

I have coloured the heart and sentiments with promarkers, the ribbon is velvet and all the papers are from the cd which I will show you at the end.

My next project I made using these stamps ...

To decorate this...

To look like this ...

I stamped all the flowers onto pink papers from the cd. I cut them all out and arranged them as shown. I have added stickle centres and a ribbon hanger. I am hanging this in my craft room, I love it!

My final project today is made using these ...

I have just used the sentiment stamp from the bottom set....this is what I made...

I have stamped the images and used Wow embossing powders, I also used embossing powders around the edge of the card too.

This is the cd all of these papers and embellishments are from ...

Prices of the products vary but they are very reasonable so check out the website

also they have a blog too which you can find

I hope you have enjoyed my review today. Dreamees is a company that will grow and grow and I for one will be excited to follow their journey as they do. Hayley is a very talented person and she will have an exciting future, and bring you exciting new designs.

I am sure you will enjoy browsing the dreamees website, the service is excellent too.

Have fun and happy shopping and crafting,
till next time,

My NEC Shopping Trip.......

Hello lovelies,

Well what a lovely day I have had today. I have been to the NEC the HobbyCrafts event where you can do lots of crafty shopping.

I bought lots of crafty stash, and had me some good bargains too!

I must first of all tell you about the lovely Hayley and Carol from DREAMEES they are a mother and daughter team and are so lovely and friendly, and very helpful too. I bought loads of gorgeous stamps, and they are fabulous prices too as are the CDs they also sell. You MUST go to the Dreamees Stand its G50 to see these stamps. The samples are stunning and you must see the heart wall decoration it is absolutely stunning. Hayley has made it herself, it is filled with gorgeous stamped flowers and is truly beautiful.
I will be also showcasing the stamps I have bought in my next product review which I will do in a couple of weeks.

Another favourite stand that I spent nearly 2 hours at was the Crafted By You stand, which is the Kanban team. Lots of gorgeous goodies, I bought quite a lot from there. How could I resist such bargains and beauty lol. All the team were so friendly, in fact they had a job getting rid of me. I think my hubby thought I was set there for the day, at one point he thought I was going to start demoing when I was chatting to fellow crafter about how gorgeous Kanban products were!LOL

I also paid a visit to Hougie Crafts on stand C19 and the fabulous Kay was doing her fantastic demos. A very talented lady and so nice too, always has time for everyone and you  could see how much people were enjoying her demos. One fellow crafter I was talking to had even travelled over especially from Northern Ireland to visit Hougie Crafts.

I called at the Pinflair stand E01 too to top up on my glue and while I was there they had this fab products called Ice Diamond and Snow Dust which are actually really really fine flakes of glass. I thought I was hearing things, but when I looked closer, its fantastic. I thought ooo it will feel sharp but it doesn't. It felt like crystals. Now you get a better deal if you buy both of these together or you can just buy them individually. I am going to use them on my Christmas cards on snow scenes, they will give such a lovely effect.

Another favourite stand at M10 I went to was the WOW embossing powder, and was it WOW. I got some gorgeous colours of powder and they have some limited edition kits I got Girls Night Out and Sugar & Spice. I also bought some product that you can melt and use in moulds, check out the moulds especially the rose one, it is absolutely gorgeous and will look fab on vintage products.

Also check out Meiflower too at stand H36 absolutely gorgeous embellishments, I got some beautiful bling ribbon sliders.

There are lots of lovely other stands too worth checking out, too many for me to mention here. I just wanted to share with you where I had been today and why I loved them so much.

Here is my crafty stash that I bought today...

I can't wait to lock myself in my craft room and get stuck into using my gorgeous stash!

If you are visiting the NEC I hope you have a lovely time and I hope you too grab yourselves some fab bargains!

Have fun and happy shopping,

Sugar Buttons.........

Hello lovelies,

Let me introduce you to

Sugar Buttons By Kathryn

I absolutely love this kit.

It was the Kanban pick of the day last week on Create & Craft TV and I am so glad I ordered it.

It is absolutely beautiful, so many things you can make using it and the kit will go a long way too. I am going to stay with family this week as I have a week off work, Sugar Buttons is coming with me as I will get a couple of crafty sessions in while I'm away!

I made three projects today using

Sugar Buttons....

Pink is my favourite colour so I couldn't resist making my first card all pink, girly and cute!
I have used glossy accents around the edges of the roses and sprinkled with Glamour Dust and then added a dollop of pinflair to the centre's and poked the brad legs into the middle!

Isn't this Prince just Charming...I think he is so cute!

And finally, I love the colours and images so much, I just knew I wanted to create a Fairytale pop up scene. It reminds me so much of a book I used to have as a little girl and I loved it.
I used one of the card blanks that matches the Sugar Buttons kit. I cut elements out as shown to create a scene. I have attached the star bordered acetate to the back panel with brads and embellished with flowers, dew drops and feathers.

Sugar Buttons is just adorable and I wish I had bought the stamp set now!LOL

I can't wait to see what other gorgeous designs Kathryn and Kanban will bring to all of us crafter's!

Thanks for stopping by today, I always appreciate your visits!

I am going to the NEC on Thursday to do some crafty shopping, so say hello if you see me!

Have fun and happy crafting,
lots of love
