Commission for a Birthday card..

Hello lovelies,

I just thought I would show you a card that I have made this week.

I was commissioned to make this card, the request was any colour but must have butterflies as the recipient loves them....I do too so this card was an absolute joy to make!
Also it is for a 70th birthday so my client ordered it for his wife. I knew I wanted to make it extra special too as the lady it is for I actually know and she is a lovely vibrant character so I wanted to go for a colourful card choice!

I have used the Polkadoodles Sundae of Seasons CD I chose the backing papers and butterflies from this. I love all of these colours together as I feel they give us a taster for the summer months, bright and cheerful!
I wanted to make an easel card, and matted and layered the co-ordinating papers, I used a butterfly border punch on some of the edges. I embellished with a doily, lace, ribbons, flowers, decorative pins and the smaller butterflies I added Stickels in Diamond.
I printed the greetings and verse from my computer using Bradley Hand text.

My client collected the card yesterday and he was over the moon with it. I loved making this, butterflies are one of my favourite things!

Thanks for looking and I hope you like my card,
have fun and happy crafting
lots of love

  4. You make such lovely cards NJ. I don't know how you find the time for them, they are always so involved. I'm glad you do though as they are always a pleasure to see.
