I am entering the following card into the
PanPastel UK Challenge 9 - Frosty & Bright
The stamp used is Tatty Button Snowman from Creative Expressions.
I have stamped the image onto Bristol Board using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
Coloured using Faber-Castell Polychromo pencils in the following shades..
Warm grey 2, Light Ultramarine,Ultramarine, Helioblue-reddish, Mauve, Middle Purple Pink, Deep Scarlet Red, Pale Geranium Lake, Dark Cadmium orange and Burnt ochre.
I use paper stumps and Daler Rowney low odour thinners to blend.
I wanted to shade the snowman and create a sort of sky background behind him. I chose the pinky purple sky because I just love it when the sky is that colour, you know the saying, red sky at night shepherds delight! I have tried to portray this kind of colour which I think is nice and bright. The snowman is keeping with the theme of frosty. I have edged with glitter and created stars using a quickie glue pen.
I have used an 8x8 card blank covered with Papermania deck the halls paper. Used a Spellbinders nestie and attached the image to this. I have added decorative pins, snowflakes, a tree, ribbon and fibre behind the image and a greeting to finish.
Hope you like it and thanks for looking,
