Well where do the weeks fly to. Monday comes round pretty quick, which means its time for another challenge over at the Crafty Blogger's Network.
This weeks theme is a Sketch to follow. Interpret the sketch as you wish, you can rotate it, make the stars a circle or flowers. So many options you can play with. I can't wait to see what you come up with.
Here's what I did................
I used an 8x8 kraft blank. I decided to use the Digital Designer Forever Friends Retro Collection Christmas for this card.
Ink edges of the card and lay with the fold at the top. Cut four squares of different patterned backing papers to 9cm x 9cm each and ink edges. Stick to base.
Print out a border and trim to the length to 19cm ink edges and stick across the middle joins of squares.
Cut green mirri card to 15cm x 15cm and stick in centre of papers.
Cut red mirri card to 13cm x 13cm and attach with foam pads.
Use stickles glitter glue to add faux stitches along edges.
Print your chosen embellishments and greetings and cut out.
I have chosen bunting and a topper to make the main star from the sketch. The other three stars I've chosen two embellishments of holly and then a robin. Ink all edges with a whispers pen.
Finally attach each piece to red card as shown. Add swirls using the stickles.
I like using sketches, they are great also to use for scrapbook pages as well as cards.
Hope you enjoyed reading how I made my card and I hope to see you all on the next challenge.
Have fun and happy crafting,
lots of love NJ XXX
