To make this you need...

~ Acrylic Paints in colours: Portrait Pink ~ Permanent Rose ~ Blue Mist
~ Tim Holtz Distress Inks in colours: Chipped Sapphire ~ Worn Lipstick ~ Shabby Shutters ~ Scattered Straw
~ Grunge Paper
~ Parchment Paper
~ Decorative Paper

How to make...

~ Paint the house all over using the gesso. Set aside to dry.
~ Apply texture paste onto the roof and onto the shelves. Set aside to dry.
~ Paint the house using your acrylic paints, vary the colours in each section of the house. I also intermixed my paints a little to achieve varied colour results. This is really random so mix to suit your own taste and until you like the colour result. Leave to dry.
~ Use Distress Ink Worn Lipstick and a blender and colour over some parchment paper. Use the text stamps and Chipped Sapphire Ink to stamp the words onto. Stamp the mannequin from the SEWING ROOM SET onto grunge paper using the Worn Lipstick. Use Chipped Sapphire to stamp text over this.
~ Stamp buttons onto the decorative paper.
~ Cut all the stamped elements out ready to add to the house.
~ Stamp the zig zag and running stitch stamps along the edges of the shelves with the distress inks.
~ Add DMC thread and ribbon to your spools and fix these into place with silicon glue.
~ Add the elements in each section as shown using silicon glue, embellishing with your buttons, lace, ric rac, ribbon, flowers, etc.
~ Cut some fabric scraps to size and glue onto the bottom shelf.
~ Glue the stamped buttons into the shelves on the bottom corners.
~ To finish the house, add gingham trim to the edge of the roof. Embellish with buttons, twine, Word snap, flowers and bling.

I loved making 'The Sewing House' I am going to display it in my craft room!
