Hello my lovelies,
well Friday soon comes around, so of course that means we have a new challenge over at the Glitter Geeks.
The theme for this week is Pets....
here's where it's at.....
I hope you like my card for this one...
Here's how I made it.....
Ingredients....
Papermania 8x8 kraft card blank/K&Company Recycled 4x6 Double-sided mat pad/Lace cardstock/Sarah Kay Clear Stamp - Fanny's Cuddle/Feather's/Animal Print Grosgrain Ribbon/Candi/Kanban Greetings
Stamped image coloured using
Letraset Flexmarkers in shades...
Black/Sandstone/Auburn/Nutmeg/Cappuccino/Rosewood/Firebrick/Pale Pink/Blush/Tea Rose/Champagne/Sunflower/Pumpkin
Letraset Promarkers in shades...
Henna/Tan
Method...
Round the corners of the card blank. I wanted to give an animal print feel to the card blanks so using my Promarkers and Black Flexmarker I randomly drew black lines and filled in with colour.
Stamp the image onto white card and colour, cut out carefully leaving a small border around the girl and ink the edges.
Attach to a piece of lace cardstock with foam pads.
Cut out two squares of contrasting card from the mat pad, one slightly larger than the other so you have a border. Round the corners and ink the edges.
Attach the larger square first, then stick three feathers along the right hand side then attach the second square on top so its raised.
Add the image and lace cardstock.
Make a bow from the grosgrain ribbon and attach to bottom left corner of squares. Add a candi to the centre.
Add a strip of the same ribbon across the bottom right corner securing the ends underneath the card front. Take a longer piece and stick on top of the first piece but making three folds and then tuck the ends under so its neat. Add 3 candis to the centre of each fold.
Finally finish with your greetings as shown.
I hope you like this card and thank you for taking the time to read how I made it.
Myself and the rest of the Glitter Geeks Design Team would love to see your creations,
Lets see what cute pets you come up with....
have fun and a very happy crafting from me,
Lots of love
